iSlash AI Assistant is powered by ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Qwen. When using the iSlash AI Assistant, token usage occurs in three key activities:

1. Processing Customer Questions - Understanding and analysing customer queries

2. Generating AI Answers - Producing responses in the selected language and AI model

Token calculation is based on character usage. However, usage efficiency varies depending on language and the LLM (Large Language Model) version selected.

Build and update your Knowledge Base 2.0 freely — uploading and training your AI Assistant won't cost any tokens. Tokens are only used later, when your AI Assistant is actively answering customer questions.

AI Token Usage Estimation

Understanding token usage helps you estimate costs and optimize your AI interactions. Tokens are units of text (words, punctuation, or characters) that the AI processes.

Token calculation by language.

1. English Language:

   • 1 token equals approximately 4 English characters
     about 75 words per 100 tokens.

2. Chinese Language:

   • A  20-characters Chinese poem like “Quiet Night Thoughts” (靜夜思) uses ~34 tokens. 

Example usage estimation:
If there are 20 users per day, each asking 3 questions, over 365 days, the estimated cost is around HKD 750 (with a fluctuation of about 60 questions).

• With HKD 2000, you can process roughly 10 million Chinese characters in conversations.

• For heavy daily usage, monitor token reports in your iSlash AI dashboard.

Top-up AI Credit

Before beginning to deploy AI Assistant to chatbot, please top up AI credit following these steps:

1. Go to Settings (https://app.islash.io/setting/plan).

2. At My Plan, find Credit Balance.

   

   
   

3. Click "Manage Credits" and select "Top-Up".

4. At the "Top-Up By Credit Card" pop-up window, select AI and update amount of credits to top-up.

   • Minimum top-up value is HKD500, the credit is transferable between Plan, Message, AI and Ad.

   

   
   

5. Click "Top-up HKD 500" and you'll be guided to a payment checkout page.

6. Complete payment.
