Setup Requirements:
A Phone Number and it shouldn't be used by other WhatsApp Services.
Tips - If you have purchased a new phone number, it may already be linked to an existing WhatsApp account. To check if your number has an active WhatsApp account, try initiating a chat with it. Simply enter the country code followed by the phone number in any WhatsApp chat. If the number is registered, it will become clickable, allowing you to start a conversation.

Step-by-Step Guide
Logon to iSlash AI Platform at https://app.islash.io/
Go to Settings:

Go to Channels and Click on "+" to create a new channel.
Fill in the following details and Click Save:
Rename to "WhatsApp".
Select the appropriate time zone for your business.
Under the Platform section, select "WhatsApp Official API (iSlash)".

Click "Continue with Facebook".

An external window by Meta will pop up. You will either be required to log in to your Facebook account, or simply click “Continue as [Your Facebook Name]”.
Grant permission to iSlash AI Platform by clicking “Get Started”.

Fill in your Business Information and click "Next":
Select the Business portfolio to link with this WhatsApp API number.
Fill in Business name.
Fill in a Business website or profile page
Select a country
For new WhatsApp Business API Integration, choose "Create a new WhatsApp Business Account" and "Create a new WhatsApp Business profile".

Note: Enter a valid business website or page, as Facebook uses the website information to check compliance with WhatsApp's Commerce Policy.
Enter the Account Name and Display Name.
WhatsApp Business Account Name: Internal Reference in your business account
WhatsApp Business Display Name: is the name what your customer will see.
Category: Select the category that best describe your business.
Verify your WhatsApp Business number.
Choose either text message or phone call for verification.
If you choose text message, you will receive a verification code via SMS. If you choose a phone call, you will receive a call with the code.

Ensure the phone number you register for the WhatsApp Business API can receive SMS and/or phone calls.
Complete your Business Portfolio by entering the verification code and click Next.

On the next page, click Continue and then Finish to complete the setup.
Finalize Setup in iSlash Platform
Return to the iSlash platform and click Save again.
To ensure everything is working correctly, test the integration by using another phone number to send a message and verify the reply.
Now you can proceed to update your WhatsApp Profile details.

Can I use a landline number for WhatsApp API integration?
Yes, you can use a landline number as long as it can receive voice calls or SMS. During the setup, facebook will send a verification code via call or SMS to confirm that you own the number.
Why can't I send free text message to my customers on WhatsApp API?
Sending text message to customers via WhatsApp API is defined as business-initiated message, which message fee applies. Please refer article for details on WhatsApp Message Pricing.
